The Abingtons are the result of combining two Parishes in 1989. The Parishes were separated by the Granta River. They are 8 miles south of Cambridge near Linton, like the Abingtons, is in Linton Deanery in the Diocese of Ely. The population of the Abingtons is approximately 1,350 people which supports a Primary School, Village Shop, Pub, Village Institute and two parish Churches.  Each church has its own history page.
