The Abingtons are to the south of Cambridge and are conveniently situated next to three A-Roads. These two maps show the location of Abington on a national scale and a local map of the villages.
The villages are near the junction between the A11, A1307 and A505 (all can be seen on right-hand picture). The A11 links up with M11 to head to London in the south and joins the A14 North-East of Cambridge. The A1307 joins Cambridge to Haverhill, and the A505 passes Duxford, and heads to the A1 beyond Royston and Baldock.

The village is frequently served by Stagecoach Bus Service No. 13. These buses leave from Cambridge Drummer Street bus station (in the centre) and also stop at the end of Station Road in the City if you are coming in by rail (rail details to come). The buses follow the A1307 road linking The Abingtons to nearby villages such as Babraham, Hildersham and Linton as well as Haverhill. You can download the bus timetable from the Stagecoach Website (select Service No 13, 13A): it can change from time to time, so ensure that you are viewing the latest version (changes normally advertised in the Village News). All regular services stop at several points in the villages, including Great Abington School.
