From 1 September, Abington Stores is resuming responsibility for issuing prescriptions from Linton and Sawston that are delivered to Abington. This will enable other activities in the Institute to resume when appropriate.
Mak and the team have agreed to resume distribution from the shop. Christine Talbot is in the process of reorganising the rota of volunteers so that collections from Linton can be five days a week, rather than three, to ease the pressure on the shop when big consignments arrive. If you are a user of the service you can also help by ensuring that, when you order a prescription, you collect it within a week or so. Space is limited at the shop and it is not helpful when people fail to collect their prescription for weeks and even months. In future, prescriptions that are not collected in a reasonable time will be returned to the dispensary.
