Parish Plan

Abington Parish Plan 2004

A group of Abington residents got together in 2004 to agree priorities for improvements to our village and document them. This Action Plan is the culmination of many months of dedication and commitment by many people to improving the well-being of our community. The document, built on the replies to a Questionnaire completed by many residents, guided parish council priorities over the next few years.

The parish councils reviewed the plan in 2010, guided by a smaller scale questionnaire to residents.

Abington Future 2019

The parish councils now feel that it is time for another review. A public drop-in consultation 'Abington Future' event was held at lunch-time at the Institute on Saturday 12th January 2019 to start the process, with a display of progress on old priorites and some examples of current proposals, notably on the Recreation Ground. If you missed the event, it's not too late to make your comments:

Abington Future – continuing opportunity to have your say

At the parish drop-in consultation on 12th  January well over a hundred residents of Great and Little Abington were able to meet their Parish Councillors informally, to give their views on current Parish Council activities and initiatives and to indicate their own concerns and priorities for the future.

For residents not able to attend, the opportunity to contribute to the consultation is still open. Feedback forms are available from the Institute or online - see opposite - or Facebook page. Completed forms should be returned to the Institute or to Tony Orgee at 8 Bourn Bridge Road by 9th February.
